For the year of 2011, there were only two hip hop albums to cross the million dollar sales threshold and one was Jay-Z and Kanye West's album, "Watch the Throne," and the other one was Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV." So far there hasn't been a significant amount of great hip hop and music loops released in 2011 and as the year closes, it would seem that only one more album will likely sell over a million albums which will probably be Drake's "Take Care." Some people have criticized the Jay-Z and Kanye West collaboration because Jay-Z took a step back in originality with the release.
